QUESTION:

What does the eating habits of a donkey, zebra and warthog sow have in common and what type of bird is sitting on the donkey´s back?

ANSWER:

This video shows a crop-eared donkey with an oxpecker on its back, a warthog sow and some Burchell´s zebras grazing on the short, green grass near Witsand waterhole early in the afternoon. They are all short-grass grazers and there is a young zebra with the herd. The zebras startle each other with a sudden movement. The oxpecker removes ticks from wildlife and serves as a form of biological parasite control.
